I'm slowly getting back into Morrowind and am look for some mods I Used to have;

1. It was an NPC recruitment mod, you had to get the NPCs mood torwards you at like, 80 or higher I think.
2. There was this mod that added a boat full of custom weapons, I think it was pretty popular.
3. There was a mod that added 10 (I think) quality houses, you could buy them from someone in Vivec iirc.

After [rather incautiously] dumping all my mods in a fresh install, I realized I had acquired some difficult to find mods, and now I needed them back.

I've only got one left, Loch's Keening Replacer. It made Keening a longsword and gave it better textures (I think). It isn't on any of the site's I've looked, and help would be great.

Every once in a while, I have the same problem. I search there and somehow what I'm looking for doesn't come up. I have no idea what's up with that. I think the elves inside their servers go on strike occasionally.

Incidentally, I found that link just by Googling morrowind mods keening--the first link took me to the TES wiki, a page of links to mods. The lesson for us both is to use that wiki as a method of finding mods.

Illius & Karpik: Thanks guys, I was just looking on the MWE devteam's forums and found the same beta link (it's not linked to on Tonto's page). I probably can't expect this to work too well, and right now it won't work at all because MWSE/MWE/MGE all managed to bork up my install something fierce. Er, anyway, I kind of wish Sandman or someone who works comfortably with scripts could update this or start a telekinesis mod from scratch - if you've played Bioshock yet, you know picking things up with your mind and then throwing them at people is the most fun you can have in a video game.

This may come back to bite me

I'm looking for a certain housemod, and i just can not seem to remember the name of the mod.

I do know that it is just next to the Siltstrider in Suran. There's a small guesthouse first, that
already looks realy great and i believe there's a Vampire Lair downstairs in that house that
looks realy cool.

Next to the guest house was a stairway going up to the real mansion, and IIRC there was
even a button that could teleport you directly up. The house was very beautifully decorated
and hat it's own pretty unique textures.

I wish i could tell more but that's what i can remember about this Housemod, if i knew the
Mod makers name i would have found it already.

Hope someone knows which housemod i mean.

I'm just getting back into Morrowind, and not only have a lot of the mod sites changed/gone down, I don't seem to have all the files I used to (have switched computers a few times). I've tried googling and searching PlanetElderScrolls for this, but the setback is I can't remember the name of the mod. It was designed to give you a small amount of experience in spellcasting even when you failed to cast the spell. Does anyone know of this mod? I initially thought it was part of Wakim's Game Improvements, but I have that, and it doesn't seem to be doing the trick.

Huh...I'm looking for a mod called drug realism.It made it so merchants would trade with you if you were carrying drugs, but if you tried selling them, they'd call the guards on your ass.

I'm going to re-install Morrowind (After I finish C&C 3) after a very long time away. I've got a bunch of good mods I used to have, and some new ones that sound great bookmarked, but there's one I don't remember the name of, and have no idea what to search for. It made it so Guar and lots of other creatures traveled in packs, with baby guar and stuff. Much appreciated if this is found.

I'm trying to find a mod that added several robes and a Robe Shop in Pelagiad. It was run by a Bosmer, and there was a Sixth House nutter in the basement with his own custom robe. 1.) I'm searching for a Morrowind Mod Manager, something that would control the order in which your mods are loaded, so there are no conflicts between them and also handle their mesh and texture files for easy installing\uninstalling...

Um, actually on #3 there are mods that rename items so that within the games proscribed order they are alphabetical. One's by Wrye, look around while you're on his site.

Before my Hd died I had a small plugin that allowed you to skip all the blah blah blah at chargen and just start the game..it was handy for using in the test install. I'm sure it's likely at one of the major mod sites but not knowing the exact name of it (or just which category they filed it under) I couldn't find it in an hour or so of looking the other day. Does anyone even know the name of the one I'm talking about? If I knew that I could track it down..thanks.

Woohoo for Waruddar! Another question solved by one of the great mod detectives! But a question answered leads to a question asked... By me... For another mod.

I'm fairly confident this'll be the last one. It's a mod that changed vivec in such a way so that there was no 'inside' anymore. There were still the individual stores you could go into, but there were no 
Lower Waistworks or anything anymore, and... It's difficult to explain, but if anyone could locate this for me I'd appreciate it greatly!

Hmm, I was reluctant to post here because it will be hard to find what I'm looking for by the information I have but maybe. I'm looking for an Almalexia texture replacer, but not Sexy Almalexy but a mod that gives her gorgeous big brown bambi eyes. That's all I know unfortunately, and that it was only a texture without an esp. That's why I lost it and don't remember the name.

alright im doing my collection of mods for morrwind again..


looking for a interface skin that i found a really long time ago, changed every single menu window, players inventory, title menu, options.. everything to a ice blue/snow white ish mix.

it felt like a bloodmoon extender with all the snow colors to the menu texture..

i really hope someone knows what im talking about, and just might possibly be able to find it or point at where it is

well, none of those were what i had a long time ago. the first link kinda close, more of a whiter, and it was universal across the game menu's and everything had a frosty white border, instead of the default colors.
even the borders around health and mana, even the escape menu was reskinned.. and it seemed so well done when i tried looking for it again in the last few years, my first thought was it was quite well done and such a great bloodmoon theme.
i thought it was an offical mod

of course it was not, so ive never found it again, oh well..

guess next thing i could use help with is... anyone know a place/pdf that might explain which files in morrowind i would have to edit to change the colors of esc menu, inventory windows, and general interface skin files in morrowind

There was a thread recently devoted to a discussion of the MW UI (user interface). You might try doing a search on this forum for "interface" and see if you can pull that up. Actually, come to think of it, I think there was a discussion thread, and a thread in which someone compiled links to all the MW UI mods that could be located.

My memory is a strange playground, so the list of links might be wrong; the thread about the MW UI, however, I'm pretty certain really exists.

EDIT: Okay, I actually went and tried this search, and it didn't work. Grrrr. Let me PM a person or two and see if I can figure out where those threads went.

EDIT: Here is the UI related thread. If you look in the signature of the people who posted in the thread, you will find one of them has a link to his list of crosshair and UI mods. From the discussion in the thread I linked to, however, it is apparent that some of the UI mods aren't currently available. If you can tell from the names which one it was, however, someone who has it might see your request and send you a copy.

I once had a mod that changed the fog settings (mostly color, I think) in the INI file to make it match the sky more closely and (IMO) look much better. I think the mod had something to do with the game's skies, lighting, weather, or something similar... I thought it might have been The Lighting Mod or Darker Morrowind, but I've tried both and neither are what I'm thinking of. I also tried editing the colors and settings myself, but now the fog just looks weird. :^\

I know that isn't much to go on so I don't expect anyone to know what I'm talking about, but I'll sure be happy if someone does. :^)

Hmm, Suran Archery Tradehouse isn't on the Hunting Mods list? The only locations I'm aware it's referenced at Mythic are Telesphoros' List o'Mods, Ranger and Rangeresque Mod List, and the Thief & Assassin Mods, and they all have working links to PES?

Wow. If there was a prize for posting the most challenging detective request despite supplying significant information about the mod, you're probably win.

It would, however, make it easier for someone to identify this mod if you actually take some of the information out of that description and list it here. For example, at least one section of that description lists some character names. Also, the fact that this might be difficult for pure mages, and that there are puzzles involved, etc could be helpful details.

If you really want to find this mod, help *us* help you--don't ask people to read through all that information just to get to the key parts. I'm just saying that you're more likely to get what you want if you go the extra mile.

Well, I never had the mod myself and Sand5torm could only remember very limited information about it... but, sure, I'll see what specifics I can dig up. ;^)

This is the gist of the mod, according to its author's not-so-thorough memory: you have to solve a puzzle at the beginning, then kill a person to bring an item of theirs to the "old explorer" who would then transport you to a hidden location (arena) where you would fight for a prize. I know this seems like a rather poor description - but I'm quite sure that anyone who has actually played through this will recognize it by this description.

so if theres no lamps or anything and its kinda dark, you could go sneaking around a dungeon.. hehe

as you can see II let my friend borrow tribunal and bloodmoon to install but I had to get a new comp so all my mods are gone - as well as my expansions : (

I'm trying to change the fog colors myself, but I can't get it right... can anyone explain how I could make the fog just slightly *whiter* than the sky color? I'm currently testing this myself, but it would be great if someone could just hand me the answer. ;^)

There was a mod (with a great website full of screenies ) that was kind of "Myst-esque" for want of a better term, graphicwise not using books - I can only remember it was post here mid to early last year and it was a quest type mod - I saved it on my HD - but as I am not the only user of this HD - someone I know got a virus and then decided to format it ... so I lost a lotta content ...

I know its vague - but the mod had some very intricate archectures and ... the website had some moving wheels ... ?? ( I think)

I confused as hell as to why I can't find a governing attribute modifying mod. It was the one that was made for monk type characters, it changed unarmored to endurance and whatnot I believe. It used to be in the themed "monk and unarmored" mod list but I can't see it anymore.

Yeah that's good, this mod was on the "monk and unarmored" list I think so maybe the mod I was looking for got merged.

For whatever reason he or she doesn't say anything about changing governing attributes in readme. O well, still sounds tight- I think I might actually not power-level this time.

Not certain if this one has been asked for yet, but I'm looking for a mod that deletes all of the objects, creatures, NPC's, etc, that are placed on Vvardenfell, leaving just one big beautiful landmass, fresh for the modding (or TCing in my case).

I'm looking for a complete version of Vault of the Great Cat by Quentin Priek/Dangleberry.

I had it years ago, but the version I have in my archives now is missing all the textures, having nifs in the texture folder instead.

The version at elricm is the same as I have, missing all the textures.

Edit - I took a look at the nifs in the meshes folder, and they are pointing to the nifs in the textures folder. I didn't think a nif could work as a texture. Freaky. So I do have the complete mod. Strange though, having nifs as textures...

I have that one Sprite. Can't remember where I got it. I'd be happy to upload it somewhere to see if it's what you need! Just pm me, as I'd prefer not to upload it to PES or what not w/o the authors permission.

EDIT: Nevermind, after taking a look, mine's the same. I have the nifs as textures also.

I just played through the mod, and it all works fine. I'm still puzzled as to how the nifs can be accepted as textures by the game, but they do work.

It's a nice modders resource BTW. There are a couple unique interior tilesets in it. And he gave full OKs on using his work in other mods. Quentin Priek is one of the original greats. He was one of the first creature modelers/animators.

Thanks but no..there are several variants of the original non BB ones there..the one I showed says it's been redone for better bodies.

edit..I've always liked those robes but the racial scripting stuff is a bit of a turn off..especially when you exclusively use custom races.

A mod that makes the spell, item, stats, and map menu like Oblivion. I like the Oblivion layout of that menu more. But I don't like anything in Oblivion besides that! Any mods that will make it look like oblivion menu?

In a word..no. I don't think a mod could do that..you'd likely have to get into the game coding somehow.

It was a mod that let you cast magic without raising your "magic hands". Like, you could shoot a spell with a sword out or something. No it's not Oblivion Style Combat.

Did you buy the houses in an actual shop, or just from a guy? Were the houses furnished? Just asking 'cause there are a couple of possible mods I can think of off the top of my head that might fit the description.

I hope this is the right place to put this, but I am looking for a mod that Mr. Dave was working on in the before times... the long, long ago. Basically he had made an undead race called the Forgotten that had some excellent heads and body textures. The original WIP thread was posted over at Psychodog studios, where Mr. Dave said that "I am farming this race out to someone who is making a multiple undead race mod. I will however, continue making heads and the like to contribute to the merged project."

I have PM'd Mr. Dave and asked about the race, but unfortunately he was unable to remember who had ended up with the resources. Does anyone out there know what happened to this race?

Fur: for that face, check Westly's thread for his huge face project; also, since that screen comes from tesnexus, you should search there for MW face and body mods.

The only body mods I know of for MW were Better Bodies and Smoother Bodies, although the former became more or less the standard for body replacers for MW.

Hope I can get in before the thread closes... on PES somewhere I saw a "green screen" room (or was it blue?) which was (IIRC) a cell you could load up to COC to and take screenshots in (or something) - anyone know what/where it is (the mod)?

Well it's been a long time since I've played Morrowind, but I finally decided to get back into the game. But I don't have my mod collection on my hard drive anymore I was able to find most of them again, but there is one that I can't seem to find. I can't remember who made it, but it was a mod for Bloodmoon that allowed you to transform into a Werewolf at will by holding down the CTRL button.
Any help is much appreciated
