I have seen many requests for a list of all the Lord of the Rings mods available for Oblivion. And since I am such a LotR fan, I have just about all of them in my game. I am putting this list together for everybody to use. Most of the links for the mods are available through TESnexus.com

With that said, lets get started



Adonnays Hadhafang
This mod adds the famous blade Hadhafang which was wielded by ancient elves like Earendil or Elrond.

Arc de Legolas
This mod adds Legolas' bow..Because it is in french, to find the bow;
go north from pell's gate across the old bridge and head the eastern end of the little island that your on then and you will see a statue, the chest with arrows and the bow are there. There is a book at the first edition as well.

Aragorn's Royal Gear
This mod adds the famous royal armor of Aragorn/Elessar in Lord of the Rings Return of the King and hes Sword Anduril.

Elfenwacht
This PI contains a new helmet, 2 new swords and an new shield in the "Lord of the Rings"- Style.
For those, who don't understand german: Search for an Ork called Ashur Gro Uzul standing near the Sideways Cave, beat him and enter the cave...


Frodo's Blade-Sting
This is a custom weapon that can be bought from any weapons merchant, it is a replica of Sting from The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Glamdring Gandalfs Schwert
Adds the sword of Gandalf, called Glamdring, from the Lord of the Rings trilogy in the game.
Because this mod is in German: To find the sword there, in 2 versions, in the market district of the imperial city, in Rindir's business. Once the version of "Gandalf the Grey" with the black scabbard, and once the version of "Gandalf the White" with the white sword scabbard. The 2 swords lie behind Rindirs left in the shop on a Komode.

The One Ring
This mod adds "The One Ring" into Oblivion

Legolas's White Knives
Legolas' two re-textured (elven shortswords) white knives...One has the normal attributes of an elven shortsword, the other is an offhand blocking sword equal to an elven shield.

Lord of the Rings Chest
Puts a Chest full of Lord of the Rings stuff (UNRELIABLE)

Medieval Shields
This mod adds Gandalf's sword Glamdring, and a Gondorian shield. It also adds three medieval shields.

Mythical Weaponry
This mod adds Glamdring and Narsil, as well as some other weapons not related to Tolkien.

Narsil
This mod adds 2 new powerfull swords: Narsil - sword of Elven King and Dark Sword - sword of Dark Enemy.

Ringwraith Nazgul Sword
This is the sword featured in the Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring movie that is held by one of the Nazgal

Sauron's Armor Chest
This mod adds the full set of Sauron's armour as seen in the films; it also adds his mace and the One Ring.

Ringwraith Mod
A mod that puts a robe, hood, gauntlets, and boots,that make you look like a Ringwraith,in the game.

Tdas Witchking Helm
This mod adds the helm of the famous "Witch King" from LOTR.

Witchking Sword
This is the sword featured in the Lord of the Rings trilogy of movies that is held by the Witch King.

Weapons of the Fallen Heroes
Adds 8 new unique weapons and 1 shield to the game, all based on Tolkien lore...Adds 2 quests

Strider's Ranger Sword
Strider's Ranger Sword from LOTR

Strider's Sword_Sword of Montaraz
This mod adds a new mesh and texture of The Sword of Montaraz. T

The Anduril Mod
The Anduril sword is the famous sword of Aragorn in the film the Lord of the Rings.

The One Ring
Another mod that adds "The One Ring"

The One Ring of Sauron
This is The One Ring, forged by Sauron in the fires of Mt. Doom.

Elvish LotR Style Shield
A resource that is a mesh replacer for the elven shield.

Uruk-Hai race Armor, Scimitar, Shield, and Helmet
This adds a Uruk-hai race, armor, scimitar, shield & helmet.

Elven Armours
This mod adds two new sets of armour to the game. One is more suitable for evil characters - it is dark, spiky and is called Elven Assassin Armour. The other one is meant more for good types. It is brighter and is called Elven Ranger Armour.





A CM Partner Companion-Aragorn
Aragorn is an Imperial Rogue Class

A CM Partner Companion-Gandalf
This is Gandalf a Custom Race Nord but with all High Elf stats and specials.

A CM Partner Companion-Gimli
This is Gimli a male Dwarf CM Partner/Companion.

A CM Partner Companion-Legolas
This is Legolas a Custom Race Woodelf but taller with the same stats.

The Witchkig of Angmar
The witchking of Angmar as a companion. (Make sure you have the required files!)




Diamoks Race Pack
This Race Pack adds 13 new races including, Elf, Hobbit, Orc, and Uruk-hai from Tolkien. Hill, Fire, Frost and Storm Giants from 1st addition D&D. 5 Old school D&D Psionic Imperial with new lessor powers.

Hobbit
A Hobbit to play as.

Uruk-Hai
Uruk-Hai as a playable Race





Middle-Earth Role-playing
An [ALPHA] Stage total conversion for Oblivion.

Middle Earth Horse Names
Changes the My Blank Horse name to a name from Middle Earth.

Nazgul Mod
The creator of this modification took a series of LOTR related mods (all including something of the Nazgûl) and put them all together into one release.

Shadowfax
Replaces Prior Maborel's Paint Horse with Shadowfax, Lord of the Mearas and the horse ridden by Gandalf the White in LotR: The Two Towers and LotR: The Return of the King.

Rangers of Cyrodiil
This mod adds Lord of the Rings style of Rangers to TES IV: Oblivion, were the rangers are a race as well as a class.

Banes Witchking Lair
A mod that adds The Witchkings Lair which is a black tower just north from the Shrine of Azura.

Helms Deep
This mod adds the entire fortress of Helms Deep, The Shire and a burned down village to the game.

Banner Resource
5 new banners for your usage. Including 3 banners from lotr - Elven, Gondorian and Rohirrim. (Modders resource)

Its a shame the mod was removed, I'd like to try it...I don't quite understand why it was removed due to copyright reasons, over at filefront under the bridge commander mods section they have many music mods for BC that contain music from various Trek films, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Carribean and others, some of which have been up there for years.

I seem to remember that it was available somewhere else but I can't remember where...

I just update the list, added a few more mods, one which was a music sound track that added some LotR music to it.

Update: Thanks to MasterToddy, I found another mod that replaces all of the vanilla music with music from LotR. I just updated the list.

Would it be permissible for me to ask two questions about specific LotR mods in this thread? My reasoning is that people who have used such mods are likely to look at this thread. However, I do not want to utterly derail your thread, egriz10. They're simple questions and should have very quick answers (and not engender big debates or anything of the sort).

Addonay's Classical Weaponry has some very nice looking, LOTR inspired blades in it... check it out.

The Reign Of Truth blade has been altered from what is seen in the screenies... it looks a like Anduril now, but not exactly like Anduril.

Very useful list. Bookmarked so I can point to it when the question arises - which is quite often. Have you checked this list (scroll down a bit) for any mods you might have missed?

1. There used to be a Witchking Companion mod at Nexus. It seems to be gone, and I haven't seen it on PES. Does anyone know what happened to it (and if it was any good)?

2. I had the same problem with the Aragorn armor as has been reported by several other people in the comments section for the mod at Nexus: I just get ebony armor. I tried moving it in my load order, I tried making sure that OBMM had done the archive invalidation thing (although I'm not sure that's the real problem), and I do use Wrye Mash in order to make sure things work as they should. Does anyone know why this happens and what I can do to fix it?

My thanks to anyone who can help me with these two silly questions/problems.

2. Aragorn's Royal Gear?? I havn't personally used that one yet, (I was RPing Aragorn, didn't become king yet Untill I had to reinstall )
I saw only 1 comment about getting ebony armor...the rest didn't hold any negative comments, make sure your game is fully patched.
If you installed it with an OMOD, try doing a manual install instead.

If anybody could test this out, that would be apreciated.

I had Aragorn's Royal Gear in my last install, and I do not remember if it had been OBMMed or not. I will try it one way, then the ither if necessary. I tried to read enough about OBMM to figure out why this might be a problem, but unfortunately I still do not know enough about it. Until you brought that up, I hadn't thought it might be the cause of the problem.

There is a good reason why Buddah removed the LOTR music mod from TESNexus - it's illegal to distribute such music, and the admins of the sites that are hosting the illegal files need to be notified. You should not be encouraging this illegal practice on these forums by posting links, you should be reporting it if anything.

Sure the LOTR soundtrack is great, but these music mods are illegal, and shouldn't be linked to. If you truly love the soundtrack, then go and buy it like you're supposed to and you should expect others too also.

Yes my friend, I had to remove about 80 music mods at tesnexus due to copyright infringement issues. It did pain me greatly to do it.
